Dinosaurs T Rex

Tyrannosaurus Rex, or T-Rex for short, is perhaps one of the most well-known dinosaurs in the world. These massive creatures were the kings of the dinosaurs and ruled during the late Cretaceous period. T-Rex were actually named after a famous 19th century paleontologist, Edward Drinker Cope. He found the first Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil in 1892 and gave it the name Manospondylus gigas, which means “giant hand bone.” The name was later changed to Tyrannosaurus Rex by another paleontologist, Henry Fairfield Osborn.
